According to my calendar, Mother's Day.

They're completely unrelated, though tragic (and hopefully one was just a horrible accident). I'm hoping nothing for a good long time.

Nothing is next! Take your gloom and doom and lock it in a box. Nothing more frustrating than those who hope for some sort of divine retribution from above. God is not interested in punishment. Humanity must stop punishing themselves. I have faith that thing will improve. We all must have this faith..without it - into our own pit of suffering we go.

Life is always dangerous and the dangers change with time. Few worry about dangerous animals here but they do humans.

With all the murders, accidents, and natural disasters occuring on a daily basis, a better question would be: what's not next?

Turn off the TV for a few days, avoid the Mass Media online and life will be boring again.

The world seems to be falling apart because we have several media outlets constantly combing the planet for anything interesting and reporting it right after it happens in a constant flow and in a way that is just beyond obsessive, not to mention there are always cameras rolling to film the stuff as it happens for extra shock value.

In reality, the world has always been this hopping... if not more so. We just never heard about it before our civilization became a bunch of news guzzling techno-junkies.

the common man in general has more rights today than he did in the past. society is also a little safer today due to better policing systems than those of past. the media is fear-mongering you. like chango said, it's always been this way. same ol' same ol'
