Didn't know if anyone was still following this. I thought the article was kind of neat because it is showing the actual buildup where there was none previously.

It is only a matter of time. The Russians are going to invade Ukraine. There is nothing the U.S. (Obama) can do unless you want to start WWIII. Putin knows this. He has all the leverage on this. The U.S. and NATO will do nothing. I think that other nations, unfortunately, might think that the U.S. will not act if they invade another country. And I am not sure if Russia will stop at Ukraine.

We used blood and treasure in a foreign adventure we could not afford, which has had inconclusive results, and which is still costing us money. This was the work of a previous administration, not the present. We can't afford, and the country will not stand for, another foreign adventure. We should have learned our lesson in Vietnam, but my generation did not heed that lesson. We cannot win in another's country's civil war. We cannot simply invade a country and work our will.

Now we face problems in the Middle East, and in Ukraine. And we've wasted our resources on things that did not matter to us.

War there is eminent. Putin hates the US so bad that he wants to put Obama in an embarrassing situation being sucked into a nasty war which will be very costly in lives and $$. And his other war mongering countries will back him with hopes to defeat the US and bring down our country. Just you watch & see.
We need to nuke them all at one time before they nuke us.

I'm not sure about the nuking part, but couldn't agree more about Putin wanting to embarrass Obama. And I don't think Putin planned this just since the Olympics.

The truth is, Putin didn't have to lift a finger to embarrass Obama. The upcoming festivity is just for added effect. The icing on the cake if you will...

Don't put it past him... Next thing you know, he'll claim Bush and Co. drafted the plans for the future Ukrainian invasion...

Of course, the Russians need to go through Ukraine so they can "liberate" Moldova. I suspect they will also eventually make moves on the former Soviet/Russian Central Asia, the -stans, Azerbaijan, and the like.

We can't stop them, Europe won't stop them. He can take whatever he wants. Any seriously tough sanctions will be vetoed by the Europeans who heavily rely on trade with Russia.

Putin will do as he pleases. There is nothing we can do about it.
