However, the initial post was not about the laws but about discrimination. Contrary to the findings of the court that allowed for cases to be pursued, the law does not create reality. The issue is that working for Fed Ex, lifting requirements really are a BFOQ. Quite simply a lineman that can not block is not useful. If we allow the sheer stupidity of institutional discrimination to dictate discussion, we are royally screwed.

I agree, I was using a extreme case, but one that unfortunately, does have a possibility of one day being brought up. Just as I never thought I would see that someone now legally, is challenging the infantry requirements in the military, and says they should be "reevaluated" to see if they are needed due to the lack of females completing it. (I really need to find the article, it was in military.com".)
