She has been on media defending her actions, saying that the photographer staged this as a pre-wedding shot and she did not "drag" baby down the aisle. OKAY. But it is still weird. Not sure what it says about this poor child's place in their lives?? Why not just have one (or both?) HOLD the baby. If baby was important enough to be in the picture - why not front & center like the OTHER members of the wedding party. If she was looking for "something different," well, she got it. And I wonder how this child will feel about this photo when old enough to comprehend & form an opinion??
I read something from the bride where she said that the baby was well secured to the train. Why would the baby need to be secured if she wasn't being dragged? It's sounding fishy. Like she started out saying that it was okay because the baby was secured, then when she realized how much flak she was getting, she changed her story to it being just a staged photo op. Either way, it's a rather dumb photo. I can see a photo done with a closeup the baby nestled in the ruffles, but that didn't need to be done during the ceremony. A wide shot of a baby laid on a train of a bride walking down the aisle? Doesn't even make sense.
From the video, it didn't look like too big of a deal until they went down the stairs of the church at the end of the ceremony. You could hear the baby hit at each stair and when she reached the bottom (there were only three steps) the baby did seem to start crying. Tough call.
I'm so relieved to know that someone with such intelligence *and* high fashion sense will likely be having more kids in her new marriage.
