I think because she was a nurse too (or nurses aide) is the reason why he kept her around long enough to still be saved. She knew how to talk to him like a person, keep him calm not make him angry. Working as a nurse in a philadelphia hospital she was probably used to crazy mental people. She was tough and being a nurse knew how to keep herself alive. They said when the police saw them in the parking lot they were in the back seat talking. Most other girls might not of lasted that long.

I thought she dropped it by accident while trying to call the police or text someone.

That's what I heard that it was accidently dropped. If she ends up talking to the media after she recovers maybe we'll find out.

I was wondering what was going on in the back seat since it was never mentioned on the news.
