From an old saying..

"It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job..It's a depression when you lose yours"....

In other words, the biggest worries are, and always will be, personal ones....the closer to home, the greater the worry.

"NewsWorries" are not worries, they are ratings points....

But I can't and don't lose sleep over anything that I can't control.
Then remember, you probably can't control your back surgery or hearing electronics. So just go to sleep.

Surviving in life after corporate America and people who are still steeped in ignorance with the inability to see.

Hey, Utopian: What's up with the hearing aids? Since I wore them for 50+ years and just got a cochlear implant, we may want to start another thread about it if you want. I may actually help and if I can't, I'll tell you. I'm retired and find affordable resources wherever I can. Trust me without knowing me, I have no connections to any hearing aid company. They're overpriced and a rip. I wrote a news item about them eons ago in the analog days.

This keeps me up too...

And I was responding to the post of the guy who stays awake at night worrying about their costs.

I'm not hearing impaired (thank a god because my eyesight is bad enough! ) So I don't know a lot about them but I know if I had the option for a cochlear implant over hearing aid, i would do it without hesitation!

None of the above.... what really keeps me up?

- Am I being a good husband, father, and provider for my family?
- Am I going to get that new job that I just had my final interview for which will give me a significant pay increase?
- Can we finally stop renting and possibly purchase a home of our own sooner rather than later?

...............

I can keep going... you get my drift. I have zero control over what's going on in the middle east, in Ferguson, MO; or ebola. Therefore, none of these things does or will keep me up at night. I have far too much else to worry about...
