Has to make you wonder. Last March I got hassled by security because a metal detector went off and I had to explain to the agents that the "object" I had on me was a tube of chapstick.
The quality of the people in security and screening is wanting. It seems they hire to the lowest level in the hopes that the facade is good enough to deter criminals.
It used to be that people in such jobs took things seriously but now, probably because even the braindead can get jobs in these positions and if someone has a gut feeling about something they can't act on it for being called a racist or using illegal profiling procedures, we can see the end result.
Now I wonder, how many delivery companies have people that have their own delivery system in place, using company resources to move illegal materials around? Sure there are GPS trackers on the vehicles and such but it really isn't that hard to figure out how to avoid that scrutiny.
Imagine how many UPS, Fed Ex and DHL drivers might have their own routes incorporated official routes and established an underground delivery service?
Before you say no, look at what happened with Delta.
I think they should hire straight up thugs for airport security... Straight up terrifying dudes of all color.
Have them come in every day with a blood alcohol level at least TWICE the legal maximum.
Then fire the overly-pleasant toned broad doing the announcements and replace it with Samuel Jackson.
Just watch the number of people doing dumb crap at airports plummet.
According to sources he didnt have to go through TSA, he used his clearance and ramp access as a Ramp agent to get the guy the guns.
