For the 2008 debacle the VP took a jury trial. He's the only one that's been convicted.
At least in the S & L crisis they actually took down something like 3,500 people.
And there's a political push to let out the main criminal in the Enron case.
Made a lot of "elites" a lot of money while destroying average incomes.

This is just a token "we're doing our job" case. Sad.
Let's give them all criminal records, not like life
isn't exactly kicking gravy their way anyway.

Actually, welfare fraud is remarkably small. If you want to get mad, get mad at the huge corporations who use loopholes and overseas tax shelters to avoid paying any taxes. That's the kind of welfare that's breaking the backs of the middle class, because we have to pick up their tab at tax time.

Just remember -- in the last farm bill that Obama himself signed, millions in subsidies and other breaks were given to big agribusiness interests, while SNAP benefits were cut, because we couldn't "afford" it.

Why is the government entitled to a companies money when they are located overseas?
I do not pay sales tax on out of state purchases for instance.

How did you get that idea? Or did you just make that up based on what you think about their names?

I hope that you meant that as satire.

Poor white people vote heavily Republican.

Some of the poorest counties of America that are largely white (in southeastern Kentucky) go about 80-20 Republican. Welfare is big there. The typical practice is to buy 24-packs of Pepsi with food stamps and sell them for cash, non-food objects, and vice.
