Iran blows up replica U.S. warship in drills

That is just NOT NICE! Iran's Revolutionary Guard's navy commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi says ""We have the most advanced sea mines which cannot be imagined by the Americans."

This is a hint no? imho this should be taken as a threat. Are we ready? Smells like WAR.

I'm pretty sure the US Navy is aware and capable of handling all of the threats being issued from third rate powers. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Quote: Iran's Revolutionary Guard used a mock U.S. aircraft carrier in its defense drills for the first time Wednesday, blowing up the replica warship near the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.

The thing about replicas is they aren't the real thing. I think they just wasted a bunch of explosives to make themselves feel good.

So... If this replica was anything close to the real deal, they wasted over a billion dollars building it, and then proceeded to waste umpteenths amounts more shooting missiles at an empty vessel...

Is this like when North Korea does a test of a new missile?

It sounds like a child "look what I can do Ma!"

Iranian Admiral Fezz Fizzie; "hey you stupid American swabbies, your girlfriends in the PI now cavort with Russian sailors, nyahhhh"

Good Lord!

This means our entire fleet of Iranian-built, unmanned, undefended, mock-carriers are at risk!

For now, let's all wring our hands in worry! And if Iran starts shooting down paper-airplane replicas of F-15s, then we'll escalate to wetting our pants in despair!

Does that sound like a plan?

Why wouldn't Iran do this?

Why bother to build a full-size replica when they could've just bought a real one from us for a penny?
