Im still not getting why "Springing ahead, and Falling behind" is even a political issue for Texas??

I like it like it is - Spring ahead, Fall behind.

Sorry, but I was going to school at that time. Thats just an urban legend. It worked fine. No kids were getting hit by cars. It was a temporary measure due to the 1973 oil embargo. Once that was resolved Congress reverted back to regular Daylight Saving Time. It wasn't a fail. It was no longer needed for the original purpose.

Polls show that the majority of people like Daylight Savings Time and would support staying on it year round. A lot of people support ending Daylight Saving Time too, but not as many. So if it's going to happen it will have to be year round Daylight Saving Time.

It's not a political issue, it's a HOT issue! As in all summer long from about 3pm until the damn sun goes down, we get roasted in 130F temperatures. We don't want an extra hour of blistering heat for 4 horrible months.
