In the news: Apple computer, the company run by Tim Cook, the same that made a public statement about LGBT rights in Indiana, fired construction workers with a felony conviction on their record.

I'm perplexed by your commentary. What does firing felons have to do with LGBT rights?

"lets fire felons so that they can go back on the streets and commit crimes due to the fact that nobody will hire them now"

According to the article DPR, the contractor, fired then. The only connection to Apple is that they were working on the Apple campus. Apple is not their boss, DPR is. Apple hired DPR to do a job.

Quote:
DPR, the company overseeing the project, abruptly ordered the workers off the Apple Campus 2 construction site in January.
Iron Workers Local Union 377 told the San Francisco Chronicle DPR justified their actions saying workers with felony convictions do “not meet owner standards
From the OPs link.

Apple does not own DPR as far as I know.

Quite possibly the worst thread I've seen in awhile. Apple had nothing to do with this. This also has nothing to do with LGBT.

Swing and a miss OP.

It is difficult to hire construction workers without felony convictions on their record, because most people are working in construction because they have felony convictions on their record.
