I cannot believe what I'm hearing. The mayor admits to giving those who wished to destroy Baltimore, the space to do that. Why? Because according to her "It's a delicate balance when dealing with rioters exercising their freedom of speech".

WTF is wrong with this woman? Why is she still in charge?

Don't worry... it's just property! If I was a business owner that was affected by the melee, my response would be "f*** you! You aren't getting another dime of my tax money, and I'm setting up shop elsewhere!" Freedom of speech is one thing, rioting, and looting is quite another! Yet the voters in Baltimore will more than likely re-elect her, or someone from her same party expecting different results.

She's a weak mayor but there is a balancing act. Those majority that are trying to peacefully demonstrate do have a right to freedom of speech and to assemble. You can't prevent it simply because there are some thugs among them who want to riot.

Unfortunately, this is what we have running this country today. Liberal policies are ruining us.

If so, I didn't know about it. I wasn't even aware of this video clip until today.

Painful and offensive as it is to conservatives (and I'm verdammt sure one of them), I can see some of the reasoning given (1) the more violent nature of the urban rioting of fifty years ago, and (2) the opportunity to identify and individually prosecute the rioters at a later date via surveillance cameras.

The only real question in my mind is whether the authorities will have the resolve to hold the offenders fully responsible -- and I retain my doubts on this.

Looters and building burners should be shot during a riot. Sign into law an automatic curfew that would begin with the burning or looting of the first building. Anyone who who refuses to leave the streets does so at their own peril. I don't hold to the belief that we'll "let the poor, disadvantaged babies have their fun and then we'll catch 'em and prosecute 'em later". That's BS!

We really need some conservative push in the USA. The liberal mindset is killing us from all angles.
