Blues Boy King died today. Son of a sharecropper, one of the greats. I can still hear that haunting voice along with Bono on When Love Comes to Town. He will be missed.
Mr. King was 89 years old. He had won every award a blues man could hope to win the love and admiration of all of the great guitar players and musicians over the course of his career and a multitude of fans as well. I see no reason to pity Mr. King upon his passing.
Sad to see only 10 replies for such a great man. but 89.... thats pretty good... I consider anything over the average of 78 lucky.
Buddy Guy doesn't have much longer either.
Joe Bonamassa will probably live to be 113.
