The good cops should start looking in the mirror if they want to place blame. They turned a blind eye for so long that corruption and pervasive throughout our police force. Time and again we are seeing news stories and videos about cops caught lying, suppressing evidence, manufacturing evidence to get one of their fellow cops out of a jam.
Disgusting place we are at as a nation. Sad that most of the Men in Blue are paying for the crimes of a few bad cops.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that the bad ones are getting called out and prosecuted. Body cameras are the best thing that ever happened. I say they should be on every policeman and car on the planet.
But for someone to actually be happy that these good men were hurt is tragic.
Police walk such a fine line everyday. If they go too far their careers are over if they don't do enough they might not make it home after the shift.
The world is getting to be a crazy dangerous place and making the wrong decision can literally be life or death for the cop or the suspect.
Their careers are never over, unless, they somehow end up working for a police department that is against police brutality and corruption. Death on the job from a suspect is remote. The vast majority of cop deaths are from accidents. In addition, almost every state records extremely low single digit deaths per year outside of 3, which make it into the teens.
