She should visit the doughnut shop again a BUY every single doughnut they have that day and give away the ones she has NOT licked......why not have a FREE Doughnut day....okay by me.
Now Please lets not get in a PC tizzy and start not buying her music. It would be really unfair if Ariana Grande had to deal with the consequences of her speech. Who will protect her from the PC police and rabid liberals who hate fun.
That was sarcastic. I'm all for not supporting Ariana. If her career fails because her audience is offended by her comment I will not shed a tear.
Dont know who that is, but it looks like typical American teenage behavior.
Juvenile donut-licking and a teen girl desperately trying to impress an older boyfriend, is about as insecure American girl as it gets.
I wouldnt get too riled up about this as an internet audience. Its a non-event.
She clearly didn't literally mean she hates America/Americans, although it's stupid to say things like that knowing you're a celebrity and might be recorded at any time while in public.

Why is everyone rushing to make excuses for her. "She's young. She didn't mean it like that. Who among us hasn't?" I'm sure you do the same for people who criticize gays or blacks, right? Oh, no, they automatically become pariahs, outcast from society for their "bigoted" views.
Here's the lesson she and her boyfriend need to be taught. Let several people spit on and lick some donuts. Then make those 2 eat those donuts. Easy. Lesson learned.
I find it funny that so many people have feigned outrage at either her comments or donut licking. Apparently they never worked food service as a teenager. If they saw what else went on to their food in the Dairy Queen I worked at, they'd be paying extra for a donut licked by a celebrity.

Arne, I agree with you that this is a tempest in a teapot. But in reality, most people here aren't arguing about it because of the event itself. After all, most of them don't know who AG is. No, most posting in this thread are trying to incorporate this "news" item into their culture wars.
To go off topic for a second, she (Demi) wasn't the best X Factor judge/coach but she was way better than others on the same seasons she was on in Britney Spears or Paulina Rubio. They weren't really good coaches. Britney only had people move on due their own talent like Carly Rose Sonenclaire while Paulina fought for Carlito at all costs when he couldn't carry a tune even if it had a pair of handles on it. Demi's problem IMO was molding her contestants into mini Demis rather than them being themselves and Demi reigning in and building onto their natural talent. For comparison, see say Blake Shelton, Pharelle Williams or Adam Levine on The Voice.
I don't find her fact at all attractive either. Even if you want to argue that looks are the most important factor in determining who should be a singer (which is ridiculous, but seems to be what the record label executives want for some strange reason), there are plenty of girls far better looking than Ariana Grande who are singing on the streets for tip money.
