Socialism means that you do not own your own life. It is an INITIATION of force against citizens with the government holding the gun. And yes, we have that today in the USA. Much of our freedom is long gone to the extent we ever had it.
Here's the question:
Why is it good to take, BY INITIATION OF FORCE, the money that someone earned to redistribute to people who did NOT earn it?
Taxes on the wealthiest is part and parcel of living in a civilized society. Why should a sick child from a poor background or disabled veterans get any help from taxpayers? Because we are a compassionate people that care about each other. And this compassion leads to happier lives and more opportunity to reach our potential for the benefit of all.
Is this the same event where “activists” stormed the stage? Poor Hillary. Last time Obama came out of nowhere and stole it from him, this time the guy with bad breath with food stuck in his teeth might do it again.

It;s not about taking from rich and giving to poor as much as giving back the middle classes share. Middle class people pay a higher percentage of income to taxes then the super rich, who hide their money offshore and steal from our pockets.
It was supposed to "trickle down" but now they hold onto profits and nothing trickles down anymore. It is the super rich breaking the covenant that trickle down is based on, no one else.
This is an excellent point. The top earners incomes have skyrocketed in the last 40 years (all one has to do is look at CEO pay) while wages have been flat in terms of inflation for that time.
Moreover, the trickle down theory while dubious at best has undergone legislation through the years that dried up the trickle.

So the top 20% of earners who pay 84% of the total income tax in this country isn't enough for you, eh?
Yet I find it interesting you don't mention the bottom 20% who get paid by "Uncle Sam", ie taking from probably you and other workers. So perhaps your question should be....who's doing the "stealing" here and not paying their fair share, er, I mean, none of their share?

I don't care for far Left ideas at all....On the other hand, at least he seems very honest and sincere in his beliefs so I will give him that.....He doesn't seem anywhere near as fake as Obama or Clinton or Romney are....

The middle class could probably pay more if they earned more. But of course that might take some money out of the pockets of the top earners (although in reality they would have more middle class individuals who could afford their products),

How about a system based on money/influence that serves itself, not the people it represents.
If you think the money and programs are managed well in such a system and you believe the flavor of the day leader that wants your vote is going to make it all better.....well, 1st I have ocean front property in Iowa still available for you. And 2nd, you might want to read a bit more on the above site. And then research how major gov programs like SSN, Medicare, etc. are being "managed" now.
