Here's the question:

Why is it good to take, BY INITIATION OF FORCE, the money that someone earned to redistribute to people who did NOT earn it?
Taxes on the wealthiest is part and parcel of living in a civilized society. Why should a sick child from a poor background or disabled veterans get any help from taxpayers? Because we are a compassionate people that care about each other. And this compassion leads to happier lives and more opportunity to reach our potential for the benefit of all.

Is this the same event where “activists” stormed the stage? Poor Hillary. Last time Obama came out of nowhere and stole it from him, this time the guy with bad breath with food stuck in his teeth might do it again.

This is an excellent point. The top earners incomes have skyrocketed in the last 40 years (all one has to do is look at CEO pay) while wages have been flat in terms of inflation for that time.

Moreover, the trickle down theory while dubious at best has undergone legislation through the years that dried up the trickle.

Both party followers are sheep and would never vote in their best interest.

So the top 20% of earners who pay 84% of the total income tax in this country isn't enough for you, eh?

Top 20% of Earners Pay 84% of Income Tax - WSJ

"Top 20% of Earners Pay 84% of Income Tax

And the bottom 20%? They get paid by Uncle Sam."

Yet I find it interesting you don't mention the bottom 20% who get paid by "Uncle Sam", ie taking from probably you and other workers. So perhaps your question should be....who's doing the "stealing" here and not paying their fair share, er, I mean, none of their share?

Hear is a short video of the numbers broken down in charts:

Top 20% of Earners Pay 84% of Income Tax

Disclosure: I trust NO politician so don't try to play "team" political sports with me. For any of you to trust any politician of any stripe is both sad in my view yet in an odd way, mildly entertaining to watch the herd mentality get all wound up on the rhetoric once again.

But to show you I'm not a spoiled sport, I'll get into the spirit of this thread......2016...woo woo!.....things are looking up.....woo woo!!!!

Far left ideas help you more than any of the other hooey you believe in. How about you read about his platform before writing him off.

Please enlighten us as to what is so negative and crippling about tuition free college education, universal health care, and large scale public-works infrastructure projects?

The middle class could probably pay more if they earned more. But of course that might take some money out of the pockets of the top earners (although in reality they would have more middle class individuals who could afford their products),

oh, let me answer, let me answer!

How about a system based on money/influence that serves itself, not the people it represents.

OpenSecrets.org: Money in Politics -- See Who's Giving & Who's Getting

If you think the money and programs are managed well in such a system and you believe the flavor of the day leader that wants your vote is going to make it all better.....well, 1st I have ocean front property in Iowa still available for you. And 2nd, you might want to read a bit more on the above site. And then research how major gov programs like SSN, Medicare, etc. are being "managed" now.

And as for things being "free".....you have a good day!
