The whole problem with society today is that you can't hurt anyone's feelings without repercussions. The way it used to be and the way it should be is if bakery A did not do what you want them to do then you went to bakery B and if could not find someone to get it done you did it yourself you didn't get on the news and say they won't do it because I have purple hair or because my dogs ugly or whatever other reason you come up with as to why you are being mistreated by the owners of this business. So many people nowadays believe there a victim of something if you disagree with them there a victim. It is absolutely ridiculous how many people are so sensitive to every little thing that they've got to get online and cry and whine and try to have other people not do business with certain people because they were mistreated. If you receive bad service and you don't want to go back and you want to let others know that's perfectly normal but because they wouldn't do what you wanted them to do is just whining. just **** and go somewhere else and get it done.
Every counter comes down to a combination of:
1. It's the law; therefore, it's good.
2. Convenience
3. We shouldn't have anyone with hurt feelings
It's not about hurt feelings, you are the one that spins it that way. I dated an African-American woman my junior and senior year in college. Had we done this 50/60 years before that, we couldn't marry like we planned to at one point and we couldn't eat at the sane lunch counters together or we would sit in dirty, disgusting parts designated for colored people. That isn't hurt feelings, that is making people second-class citizens that are below another citizen. I don't know why you throw out that strawman time and time again.

Those who request service can refuse service, for service is a privilege, not a right. Ergo, servants are held to a higher standard of behavior.
But those who provide services, cannot refuse to serve.
However, this is only in regard to government, not the private sector.

If government had stayed out of the marriage business from the start, none of this would be an issue. But no, politicians wanted to make money from fees and licenses and to garner votes with tax deductions. As a result, we have this mess.
But there would have been same sex marriages, polyogmy and all other types of marriages then. How would this prevent a baker from refusing to sell a cake and then go onto Facebook and give out the names of the two women that wanted to buy a cake to celebrate their marriage?
And if not the government who? Marriage is not owned by any relgion or by relgion itself.

Aaaaanyway, I'm not gay, never have been and have no particular ties to gay. I used to be somewhat homophobic (when i was young and stupid and trying to find myself) but now it is no big deal at all. I will admit I get a little pissed at the "flamers" still. I don't feel it's neccessary to announce that you are gay from 100 yards out...but I digress. What i'm getting pissed at is the self righteous "christians". I couldn't begin to tell you how many times I've been turned off of christianity by christians themselves. I know enough about the bible to know that the christians are wrong for voicing their dumbass opinions.
1) - If you are to believe the bible, you believe EVERY WORD...not just what suits you at a particular time.
2) - Divorce is also an abomination unto the lord...I'm pretty sure at least 48% of christians have been divorced
3.) - Judge not, lest ye be judged yourself - - - VERY few (like 0) could stand tall after a thourough judging!
4)- God is the creator of EVERYTHING...including hell, satan, gays and even houseflies! He knew a person was gonna be gay 200 zillion years before he created them. Homosexuality is NOT a choice but being an ******* is.
5) - and this is the hardest for people to give but it is CLEARLY stated in the bible and not up for interpretation.....THERE IS NO SIN ANY GREATER THAN ANY OTHER SIN! Period.

Kind of rich calling some one ignorant because they do not share your opinion, and that is all it is an opinion on why people are gay. Not even a very informed opinion at that.

Stop with the nonsense. Nobody created anything. We are here. And we do have free will. Because WE DESIGNED IT THAT WAY. Man is responsible for morality and society. And we have now redefined morality with respect to this issue, which we can do. Why? Because MORALITY is designed by Man and for Man.

God created is gay, being gay isn't really a choice. The only exception is bisexuality where you can date either sex but that is a stretch.
