She is not signing as Kim Davis the person, but as the head of a government office. No one cares what her beliefs are on the issue, the only thing people care about is going in to the office and being able to receive the services that the office provides.
I thought we all agree on the role of the CC. And how Davis feels about her name on said form.
Can someone please explain why this women is viewed as the second coming of Adolf Hitler? Maybe she's a little loony, but the unbridled hate towards her is a little disturbing. For example, do people not realize what happens to lgbt people in the middle east?

This is my point. One can disagree, not accept her religious beliefs, but no need to try to crucify her.

It doesn't matter how she feels. Its her job. She can quit. But $80k jobs in small eastern Kentucky counties are hard to find. As this issue dies down her only realistic alternative is to agree to do her job. Or else stay in jail for months.
I'd bet the county will grow very tired very quickly of continuing to pay someone who refuses to work. And will force the issue themselves some way.
No one is trying to crucify her, just insisting that she do her job. if she can't, quitting is her best option.

Yep, would be hard to find a job in that pay range there. And, yes to your last sentence, it may well happen.
Well, you're right. You nailed it - I don't like the South very much at all.
And this post is a really good example of why I do not. "Yep. We're backward, completely uneducated about how our system of government runs, and by god we not only like it that way, we're downright proud of it. And any day now, we're gonna dig our muskets and our squirrel rifles out of the closet, march back up there, and finish what Lee couldn't manage to do back in 1865."
Thank you. There's nothing I can add to this post to strengthen my argument; you've made it for me. I could never say it better if I typed all night.

Yes it would take a lot of moonshine sales for her to clear 80k. It doesn't matter. She can either do her job 100% w/o imposing her personal views, or she can resign, or she can rot in jail. I'm fine with giving her all 3 options to choose from.
