Its unfortunate that while he won the giant teddy bear of stupid prizes, his passengers also took home prizes. If you want to be stupid, don't put anyone else at risk. That concept seems too simple for many these days.

The passengers weren't the sharpest tools in the shed either. Piling too many people into a car driven by an idiot and not wearing seatbelts. Darwin awards for all!
Ask me again why I don't like to share the road with anyone driving and using a cell phone. This guy could just as easily crossed into the other lane of traffic and had a head-on with another car. I'm also getting tired of people who get indignant when criticized for doing it. At best it's distracted driving and they're putting others at risk.
I'm glad no one was killed in this accident, but I don't feel sorry for the idiot that caused it. Hope his insurance premiums go through the roof.

No matter how sharp of a tool they are, they were not operating the vehicle. As the driver you ALWAYS have the responsibility to ensure the safety of your passengers. The selfie can wait until a red light. If it can't, get over it. It's just a picture you'll think about for 30 seconds and never remember. Well, in most situations.
