Of course. But people also have to make responsible decisions for themselves as well. An example: you don't get into a car when your drunk/stoned friend is driving. These people were all old enough to know better than to put that many people in a car and to wear seatbelts. I'd venture to guess that trying to take a selfie while driving isn't the first stupid thing this guy did. And yet into the car they all got. They bear some responsibility for their injuries.

If you were a passenger can you sue the driver for stupidity?

To bad they didn't take another selfie after the accident, then they would have had a 'before and after' to post on facebook. Would have been a bit more 'educational' that way.

I saw a piece on the news about a police checkpoint. They dressed like homeless people wearing signs. The signs said they were not homeless but police doing a safety check for cell phones and seat belts. They caught a bunch of people who were paying so little attention they didn't notice the signs, and they were going a relatively low speed with traffic.....

Most of the tickets were talking on a cell in one hand and on on the steering wheel. Multitasking is great if your NOT driving a car. I believe that one person was also observed doing a selfie and pictures of the passangers while driving.

He should meet up with the guy who tried to take a selfie with the rattlesnake, they both can be inducted into the Selfie Hall of Fame, and both of course are Darwin Award candidates, for sure!

There is something seriously wrong with grown men that take selfies.
