I got demerit from a C-D monitor for posting a list of famous left handed people on the post about the teacher that thought left handed people were evil. Apparently the C-D monitors feel it is true. We'll see how long it takes for this to be taken down and for me to be admonished again.

Don't kid yourself. The belief in possession is old. And even some modern institutions still go there.
The original lady sounds extreme...but there are still working Catholic Priests who believe.
My mother...an extremely intelligent and educated person who was very active in left wing Catholicism in the 30s had trouble with the issue. Still not sure she died a Catholic but she worked the space for 90 years.

She was hysterical and erratic (I wonder why), and started having “visions” and smelling like sulfur “which supposedly accompanies the devil.”
Right is dexter and left is sinister. Right is associated with something peaceful and left with something threatening. Maybe because most people are right handed.
In College Latin my professor said that Romans used to shake hands with their right hand to demonstrate that they weren't armed but they would conceal a dagger in their toga that they could wield with their left hand if the occasion arose. (I have no idea if that's true but it sounds good)
