No reason not to try her and punish her upon conviction.
They finally caught her. Take her to another Country and feed her to the Sharks. I don't want to pay to house this monster. If there is indeed enough evidence this is true the least we can do is inflict a painful as possible exit from this planet. Just do it in Germany so we don't have to pay for it.
Even though these people are now elderly, if they can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they committed these heinous, horrific crimes - then they still deserve to be severely punished. Just because someone is old & frail, that doesn't change the fact that they could have committed crimes against humanity in their youth.
In the case of this 91 year old woman, if she gets sent to a harsh prison for 10-15 years that's a huge punishment right there, considering her advanced age.

The punishment wouldn't fit the crimes. She was part of killing hundreds of thousands. It needs to match the crime. Not some retirement home.

I'm of the opinion that a harsh, unpleasant prison sentence would be more of a punishment than the death penalty at this point. Even if she deserves the death penalty, how much of a punishment would that be?! She's 91. If she rots in an unpleasant prison for the rest of her life, IMHO that's a worse punishment - since she'll be spending her final years in a cell.
The important thing is that our all-consuming hatred and desire to see people suffer never dies.

Indeed, case in point imbecile comments about throwing her off a bridge into a fire and such.
I guess the Jews are back in control enough to get such things going. I wonder if anyone will have enough control to take our military to trial that were part of the invasion of Iraq. It sure is odd they can go after those taking orders from Hitler as if they were making decisions. Seems the jews somehow can pull that off. Um, what if this old woman said no to her superiors? I suspect they would have shot her. At least she lived out a life before her beheading by someone. What an odd world.
It is amazing reading the responses. Do people really feel that she had some choice in what she was doing? Do people not understand any military code at all? So if some private in the US army tells a general to go pound salt, that private is a hero? Sure, whatever you people say. In hitler's days that private would be taken aside and shot. Of course you feel this woman should have stood up to hitler and told him to f himself. Sure. This whole thing is one big joke. Let the woman go, unless you feel the US troops that were in Iraq should face charges. We can't have a double standard people! NOPE!
Don't think a lot of you understand the situation, the crime, or why this is occurring.
This woman was underaged at the time she was drafter into the Heer as a radio operator, with one of her stations eventually being Auschwitz. From what can be drawn from the various news reports, besides being located on the grounds of the camp she had no direct involvement with the mass murder of its prisoners.
Why is she being tried? After the recent trial of a purported concentration camp guard, it has been deemed possible to charge any person who spent time at Auschwitz as an "accessory to murder". Now, there's been an eleventh-hour rush to prosecute as many former "Nazis" as possible (they'll all be dying shortly) in order to satisfy the lust of Germans who wish to wash away as much of their history as possible. Just like American prosecutors go after small-time drug dealers to polish their records, German prosecutors go after former Nazi grunts.
The next question is, is being a radio operator at Auschwitz a crime? No-- at least it certainly wasn't until these most recent ex post facto laws were instituted. How far down the chain of command are we going to go? Is the town plumber who fixed the camp's toilets a war criminal? The baker who delivered bread to the camp? The prisoners who cooperated and worked with the Nazis? We can extrapolate this further: In 60 years, will we be calling for the imprisonment of every custodian and data entry clerk who worked at Gitmo/Abu Grahib for the crime of being an "accessory to torture"?
This is a witch hunt, and when she's given a jail sentence the whole world can pat themselves on the back for locking up another Nazi. Just remember, this woman is a war criminal who will serve a prison sentence while Werner von Braun and other high ranking Nazis who were actively complicit and enthusiastic about the Final Solution are American heroes who helped the US win the Space Race.
