I don't know about that. In the pre-internet/24-7 news cycle days we didn't hear about local events like this very much at all. We have more access to news stories like this now, which may make them seem more common than they used to be. Having said that, I do agree that mandated car seats are probably a contributing factor now. That, and too many people allowing themselves to become overloaded mentally & physically in today's hectic lifestyle.

Yes then have a pop up sign with a whistle noise that wont shut down until you remove the child from the car! Wouldnt it be easier to turn the carrier around facing front so all can see one another. Worked for decades and no the death rate for them wasnt any higher.

Simple solution, ban children from cars until they are 21, its for they're safety don'tcha know..........
