The Episcopalians, Lutherans and others have gone whole hog into "diversity" and "equality" with everything from female priests to allowing same sex marriages, and yet still they are losing members at a steady rate. You'll find more Episcopalians on golf courses or at brunch on Sunday mornings than at church.
The loooooong steady Tradition of the Catholic Church is wisdom, compared to the finger*in*the*wind Protestants

John Paul II was a sensation starting from his election in 1978 at the height of the Cold War, which you're probably too young to remember. He was beloved and he's also been fast-tracked for sainthood. Haven't you heard?

Pope Francis is just as huge as John Paul II.

Pope Benedict, following immediately after John Paul II, really was no media star.

The media coverage on the pope is indeed bizarre. It's more accurately ridiculous.
I mean the commentary you hear from the talking heads is so freakin asinine. They say some really weird, often moronic things just to fill the gaps of silence as they film the pope's every. single. step.

And the ppl they are talking to on the streets are so stupid too. They ask idiotic questions and get some really stupid answers. Like dit deeee duuhhhhh.

"What is this experience of seeing the pope like for you?"
"it's a once in a life time experience! WOW!!!!!!"

Um, ok?

Unreal.

I cant even watch the news anymore because it is just mostly garbage. the pope, the royal family, Donald trump, Caitlyn jenner and the rest of the retard kardashians, ben carson the racist black republican presidential candidate. seriously, who gives a ****????

and apparently it was so controversial that one blowhard in the crowd leaned out and kissed the pope. must have been a slow news week or something.

Of course, the Pope is trying to capture as many converts from both sides and so he "walks the line". I was raised as a Catholic Democrat, currently Agnostic/Atheist Independent and the hypocrisy drove me away from both. Like the Democratic Party the Catholic church is about "Feel good ideals". most of which are not achievable and many that are a detriment to us all.

That explains him stumbling as he boarded the plane. The great thing about the Pope and Christianity in general is you can say anything you want about the pope without the fear of him issuing a fatwa to kill you.
