Just a historical note. On Fri 13, 1307, King Phillip IV of France ordered the arrest of all members of the Knights Templar. Some speculate that this may be the origin of the superstition of bad luck. The Templars were, among others things, a very skilled military organization and were very much involved in the crusades.
This is not to start a discussion of the Templars, rather to point out their history of battles with the Muslims in the Holy Land, the date they were taken down, and the Islamic terrorist penchant for striking on anniversary dates.

Just food for thought.
If you're going to go back seven centuries, you can find a tie-in for virtually any date on the calendar.
Looks, this was a well-coordinated terror attack. It was selected because Friday night is the evening of the week when the most people are out enjoying the nightlife. It was selected because there was a major sporting event going to (France v. Germany, with President Hollande himself in attendance) that was targeted.
If you think these terrorists give a rip that this was the 708th anniversary of anything, think again.
Assuming the perpetrators are doing anything but being very practical in their plans to cause maximum death and destruction is foolish indeed, and it underestimates them.

So I have heard this same point discussed on two separate news shows. Maybe you know more than everyone else, I just brought up what I thought to be some food for thought. At least several national news shows seem to agree. You call me foolish, while you seem to state your opinions as though they were accepted facts. They are just opinions, sorry to burst your bubble.
I just thought the terrorist had a wry sense of humor to attack on Friday the 13th. But that may be a USA superstition and not a Franco one.
