Look down at the comments in the link. Apparently this video is a few years old and he is behind bars.

When you take away all the tools to allow quality education in the name of equality, how would you achieve this?

Jump through hoops to fire bad teachers? Check

Change and eliminate discipline rules so the bad apples like this cannot be removed? Check

Make it as hard as possible for charter school to succeed so even kids that want to have a better learning environment cannot? Check

Thanks to liberal media where a cop taking a girl out for disrupting class is in every paper but something like this will not even show a blip, you basically telling the black kids it is ok to act out.

Another source indicates the video is from 2011, but not the DM article. Student threatens teacher at Chicago school in video | abc7chicago.com Apparently the video recently surfaced, none of the sources say how. It is not an "old" story. I don't see any comments under the DM article, and there is nothing in any other source that indicates that he has been jailed.

eta: there are comments now, ,dont know why

We're going to reach a tipping point where public education is so bad that only the poorest of the poor will go there while everybody else pulls their kids out and sends them to parochial and private schools (or even home-schooling).

Liberals simply cannot understand how the more they try to socially regulate people the worse off the situation becomes.

See desegregation busing to learn more how Democrats ruin cities and schools with their social engineering "rules for thee, but not for me" policies.

If you are going to insult the majority of the nation over politics, is this the right forum for it?

1. Public education in most communities around this nation is very healthy.
2. Republicans no longer believe that America is strong enough and good enough to actually solve problems.
3. Having worked in Maryland and Virginia schools where both busing and redrawing of boundary lines had occurred, what I saw is that the longer the period of time passed, the more the students associated with each other with little concern about race. So, in many ways, busing worked.

Inner city schools have been owned and run, lock, stock and barrel by Democrats for at least 5 decades. According to Democrats their leadership of our cities should have made these schools academic giants by now.

Instead they are cesspools of low performance and violence. What happened to the Utopia promised by Democrats? They've been running these schools for decades.... what happened?
