THANKS, Obama!
Nearly 95 million people not working.....yes...truly great news and a totally believable 5% unemployment stat.

It will probably be quietly revised lower as usual next month.

Though U-6 actually looks pretty good, which counts underemployed, marginally attached, and discouraged workers.

The bad news is that means that many of those people dropping out of the labor force are not even marginally attached anymore. They not only dropped out of the labor force, they do not want a job anymore and their reasons for not seeking work are no longer market related. That really needs to be studied more to find out how big of a problem that will become.

Wages went up by 9 cents an hour last month. That may lure some folks off their duffs.

Shhhhh!!!! You might wake them from their dreams.

It always makes me laugh when people believe government numbers designed to make the government look better.

It would be like reading the Ford website before buying a truck; of course Ford will be the best.

PT Barnum was right.

Many part time jobs, Or jobs that pay is low. There are jobs out here paying $12 an hour for requiring a bachelors degree. We are one of the most expensive cities to live in in the country.

Kind of wondering what that segment is doing to get by.
My guess would be "under-the-table" gigs, or living off the land, begging, or perhaps turned to a life of petty crime to get scraps on the table.
