Looks like people are taking to the internet for their holiday purchases this year more than they are brick and mortar stores:

Black Friday: Store Sales Down, Internet Sales Surging

Do you think people have finally grown tired of the long lines and madness?

No shock here. I'm not going into the death traps that in-store Black Friday has turned into.

Last year wasn't a good year either for revenue.
And this year is even worse.

Rocksy23, you really should be honest and tell people you are linking to your own blog. Using City-Data to drive traffic to your blog (especially without disclosure) seems sketchy.

Here's a real MSM piece for folks to read. I didn't click on the OP's link because I had already read the article from the MSM.

I have never been in a store on Black Friday. Not once.

People have less and less disposable income. I'm surprised Black Friday is still a thing.

Haven't waited in line for over 10 years, been shopping online all this time. Often get the same or better deals online plus free shipping so why bother going to the store when it's 30 degrees out? Not to mention by the time you enter the store all the items you waited in line for are sold out already.

Got some .22 at dicks Friday afternoon because the lot was empty after work. No crowd quick and easy. No seriously enticing deals that I have seen. The local mall seemed pretty quiet.
