All it takes is one knucklehead for "jury nullification".

Heck just look around this forum. We have at least a dozen completely irrational individuals that could remain stubbornly obtuse in the face of all facts.

I've been thinking about this. I once served on a jury where one person defined "reasonable doubt" to be absolutely and positively NO doubt. Sure made deliberations difficult ... and the crime wasn't that big a deal.

People like him boggle my mind. I'm 30. I have a good career going for me. I have my whole life ahead of me, not to mention a wonderful boyfriend at my side. Hurting other people and breaking the law to land myself in prison for life would be the last thing on my mind.

Why the hell did this guy do these things? He's had a good career going for him.

Fired Oklahoma City police officer is convicted of offenses against eight victims | News OK

I guess it took them that long to go over each of the 36 charges and see if each one met the burden of proof separately.
