Turkish teenager stabs Jewish teacher in Marseille

Paris (AFP) - A Turkish teenager who stabbed a Jewish teacher with a machete on Monday in the southern French city of Marseille told police he was attacking in the name of the Islamic State group, a prosecutor said.

I'm surprised it was even reported.

I think given current tensions even the smaller stories serve as click bait for ad revenue.

I think the French have had it and aren't afraid to report such incidents. Then again, if they're like Germany, we may read in a week that the teacher and entire classroom of students was killed, but they're not really sure who did it.

Doubt it; the French don't really pull any punches when it comes to that. They're not the most politically correct of nationalities, unlike the Germans.

"The 15-year-old ethnic Kurd assailant rushed the victim from behind and stabbed him in the shoulder, then chased after him for a few metres (yards) until he fell, Robin said."

It's highly unusual for a Kurd to claim they acted on behalf of ISIS. Turkey is bombing the Kurds. The Kurds in Turkey were also the target of ISIS-attributed bomb attacks just before the national election. In the form of the US-organized Syrian Defense Force (SDF), the Syrian Kurds are also fighting ISIS to reclaim lost territory.

How well informed do you think a 15 year old is on foreign military events ?

From the OP link:

"You get the sense that he does not have a full grasp of the fundamentals of Islam," he added.

I will defer to you since you've lived in at least one of those places.....and possibly two. (sorry, I cannot recall exactly)

Okay, we'll go with A then.

I didnt read about this story, nor did I hear about it until now. It doesnt surprise me, though. Muslim cowards running around stabbing innocent individuals just because they dont like their religion.
