What a horrible accident, his prognosis does not look good.

Actor Raphael Schumacher in coma after accidentally hanging himself on stage | S

Quote:
An Italian actor is in a coma after a lynching scene went horribly wrong during a live performance.

Raphael Schumacher was performing in the play Mirages at the Teatro Lux in Pisa when an audience member realized the rope had tightened around the actor’s neck and he was actually being hanged, media reports say.

The theatre-goer, who was reportedly a recent medical graduate, noticed the actor’s body started trembling during his performance and helped free him from the noose, the BBC reported. The actor had a bag over his head at the time.

What a horrible accident. Thank goodness there was a doc in audience. Hope he ends up alright.

“The noose should have been fake and a harness should have caught him if he fell,” an actor
who did not want to be named told The Times. “I cannot explain how an incident like this happened.”
Hard to believe they used and secured a rope that held his weight.
