It will be a tough road ahead, as already the pound is taking a beating, but just as it is neccesary to cut off a branch which had grown crooked or re-break a leg that has healed incorrectly, this is going to be good in the long run.

I hope England is ready to let go of Scotland, and possibly Northern Ireland as well. When you look at the voting map the divide there is stark. If England doesn't want to be part of the globalized world, then let it go back to being a little country alone, rather than clinging to remnants of empire.

You do not need to give up your sovereignty and culture to be part of a "globalized" world.
Treaties and trade agreements will be made with Britain just like before the EU was an entity.
If the people of Scotland or Ireland feel that they should be there own sovereign nation then they should do it, That does not mean they cannot buy, sell, trade or even make treaties with Britain, the EU, or the US and Asia.

We're thinking Germany will follow suit. It's not all it's cracked up to be. German currency was strong before and everything got thrown into one pot and it all became equal, right? That's kind of how I understood it back when Germany had a fit about it.

Maybe now the Global Leaders will gather and support to create Safe Zones in these Middle Eastern Countries and some form of Re-Organization, so the Refugees can go back home.
Merkel is part of the problem. She let all those migrants in, and the loose borders are the main reason the Brits finally had enough. We Americans are not the only ones with problems regarding immigration.
This is exactly what most of the news is saying this morning. The brits who voted out basically want their country back.
According to reports they feel they've become too diluted with no benefit except to those flooding in and big business that takes advantage of the cheap labor.
This can be good for Europe. Rather, the nations of Europe. The EU has gone to far in homogenizing the continent. One size does not fit all. A much slimmer, humble EU that doesn't meddle in national business or cross the decisions of popularly elected governments can accomplish more good work that one that pries into every nook and corner.
The ambition of bureaucrats everywhere exceeds their responsibility and capability. They always want to run one more thing. It should be the other way around: the people should run them. This is a big step in that direction.
Presumably green grocers can once again sell bananas by the pound and remain free of harassment by petty Eurocrats.
