The one that says... why are you so fixated on this one line from one article? Does it really even matter if they could swim? It doesn't change the fact that they all drowned.
yes. yes it does.
WHY???

People who can swim drown all the time...especially trying to rescue a drowning swimmer.
Someone take a look at the video, very steep sides, very deep water. Young adults in a blocked off area because it was unsafe.
Sigh....
The only semi steep looking side they show on that video, there is NOBODY on. The area where all the people are coming out of the water doesn't look steep at all. It looks sandy and that there is a small incline.
But knowing how to swim doesn't mean you can't drown. It happens. Just as knowing how to drive a car won't stop people from dying in highway accidents. Or knowing how to climb a mountain doesn't stop people from dying on Mt. Everest.

And yet there are two people helping those getting out of the water. It looks like if you fall in, it might be hard to get out. There are people sitting on rafts right up to the edge of the water, so it might be pretty deep there, making it difficult to get out of the water.

You mean helping the people who have a body in their other hand?
You can also see when they come out how shallow it is, just because they are on boards/rafts two feet over doesn't mean its suddenly deep just because they are not standing up.

If it wasnt steep, they could pull the body out easily. Ugh...you are just going to fight this until you er blue in the face...I don't even think you know what you re fighting about.

You mean the one guy coming out of the water with the waterlogged body, after exerting all that energy just to get it to the shore, should have just taken it the rest of the way himself because "it wasn't that steep"..
Its still suspicious.
P.S. Theres no need for you to make snarky comments just because I keep pointing out your possibilities aren't logical.

With virtually no hard facts, conflicting newspaper claims and a you-tube video of the general area at perhaps a much different water level....it's suspicious if we use complete conjecture instead of relying upon the expertise of the police that physically went to the actual crime scene, interviewed the survivor and so on and so forth.
We have so little good information that of course we can use conjecture and call pretty much anything "suspicious".

What is that even supposed to mean? There's no tide. How much time do you thing lapsed?

What else did they do? So far all we have is the one survivor's story. What else was there?

Here is a good article on the state of swimming in India. What are the odds that they really all did know how to swim?
