According to local media reports, it happened Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m. A Bryan Police Department officer had parked his squad car on the side of a street and had his emergency lights on while responding to a disturbance call.

While the officer was away from his vehicle, 20-year-old Miranda Kay Rader crashed into it with her SUV. He then walked over and saw her trying to put her shirt back on over her unfastened bra, KBTX in Bryan-College Station reported.

Underage, DUI, and Plain Stupid. Lock her up. She is lucky she didn't kill the officer.

She's also could get charged with some kind of pornography crime if she hit the Send button.

According to a follow up story, she was booked for DUI, a misdemeanor, and a citation for drinking underage, then released on a $2000 bond to appear in court. I would bet Mommy and Daddy paid the bail, they'll pay for the lawyer, they'll pay to fix the SUV and give it back to her, and that will be that. On this side of the pond it's called affluenza.

I hate to sound like an old fogey, but I just don't understand the popularity of texting (or sexting) anyway. It's to the point where if you don't communicate this way, you aren't considered "hip". What's worse is I see drivers doing it while driving every day and it scares the hell out of me. They could easily crash and kill someone.

One of these mental midgets clipped me and two other pedestrians as he turned the corner, blabbering away on his cell phone, big smile on his face and staring into space. Totally oblivious to what he did.
