I'd wager (haha) that the machines are computers and record actions and have standards of build and ability to capture and report. And the data could easily be pulled to see if it was a win or a malfunction. If this was tampered/hacked, then they could be in big trouble by whatever body governs them if caught.

Then again, this is just a semi-educated guess based on my stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

You mean they didn't even offer her the max for the machine.....a lousy $6,500?

How many machines malfunction to the point where'd they'd open the floodgates to future multiple $6,500 payouts.

Other than paying out $6,500 from a company that makes millions, what's the down side of just offering the $6,500 and ending this thing?
