So hard to read. I feel as ive gotten older these stories hit harder also. Sad kids die so young and there is so much suffering and madness in the world as a whole. Sucks, all of it. : (
That story has me bawling. Bless him for helping this family and giving a dying little boy a distraction and reason to smile. I cannot imagine his family's pain.
On a side note, this news was discussed on other websites, and unfortunately (and to be expected these days), some were questioning Eric's (Santa) military background at first.
All he said to the news media was that he spent four years with the 75th Rangers in the early 80's, as a reference point, and he was bawling in tears after this incident.
Well, it turns out he actually did serve in the second battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment like he said.
Everytime I think that lately another one is published thats worse. There's been a few child deaths in the news recently 2 out here in my area. It really hurts reading all this esp during the holidays.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Rest in peace, No. 1 elf.
