Doesn't Fentanyl work instantly fast? What happened? Did the parents decide to pull the car over to sniff some Fentanyl while their kids were in the backseat? Makes no sense.
Where did the Fentanyl come from? Was any of it found in the car? Why weren't the kids effected by it if it was?

Drug addiction doesn't make sense, it just is. I read the story. The parents were found outside the car. The babies were still strapped in the car, which was determined to have been stopped and running for about 30 minutes. Guess the addicts just couldn't wait to get home before they took their dose.
Maybe it was better they died this way, the babies were found safe. If they'd died at home, who knows how long it would have been before they were found.

Fentanyl is typically mixed with another illegal drug if it's sold illegally. (It also has legitimate medical purposes.) It doesn't work instantly necessarily. Some people also don't die from an overdose. You can take it in pill form or smoke it or whatever - so it probably wasn't "loose" in the vehicle.

True. I think I read that they had marihuana in their systems. I forget most of the details. It could have been sprinkled in a joint, I suppose.
I believe the powered form is the dangerous instant high, and possibly death. Cops have been overcome after finding it during a search. I don't know much about other forms of this drug. Horrible stuff.

Yes. We (public service) had to have a training about how to deal with a suspected drug overdose victim. As lay people, the bottom line message was, never ever touch a person you suspect has had a drug overdose. Because our bodies are not used to it, the tiniest exposure could give us an overdose, or death. Call authorities immediately. Special focus was given to the public works people, those who empty trash cans, clean the streets and such and how to do it safely. You wouldn't think a "country feel" small city of less than 14,000 people would need such training. But we're inundated.
