Even as I really don't have the same visceral reaction as others to our flag burning; the principles it represents- most importantly, free speech- are far more potent than the physical symbol that it is. I'm all for some back and forth free speech with folks protecting it.

I totally honor the FedEx employee's actions and am glad the company feels the same.

Glad to see FedEX had the guts to stand behind their employee. Many corporations would have fired him because of possible liability.

Could you imagine the bad press for FedEx? UPS would have to double their workload when people start boycotting FedEx if they fired the guy.

I'm glad he didn't get fired, but the protestors have a right to non-violent free speech, which, as guaranteed by US Sup. Ct. decision, includes flag-burning. Free speech, and protecting free speech, even if you disagree with the method, is quintessentially American.
