Why would an addict need his dealer to go on a cruise with him?
That was my point. There was an allegation the guy was an addict and that was why he killed her because addicts kill people. But my point was that the violence related to most drug addiction is violence related to getting money to buy the drugs. So, it wouldn't make sense for the guy to kill his wife for money to buy drugs, when it seems unlikely that there was a source to buy drugs on the cruise ship.
Do we even know for certain what it was she was supposedly laughing at him about?
If anyone mentioned it, I missed it--I don't mean speculation, but something actually stated by police or family.
No, we don't. We don't know if she was simply a little tipsy, and had a giggle fit, or if she was mocking him, or what it was about. I have the impression at least one of the girls heard part of it, but no one (as far as we know) is pressing the bereaved girls for details, mercifully for them.

Thanks. I feel sad for the children. It sounds like there are a lot of relatives, so someone will step up to help these kids, I hope.
What is "special cousin?" I've never heard that term.
