In today's world the word hero is thrown around a lot, and most of the time it really isn't applicable. In this case it most certainly is though. No finer example of a hero than one person risking his life to help another. Bless this guy for doing what he did when help was needed.

He earned it. God Bless him. The owner of the truck should probably also receive a freebie truck. It will be impossible to get all the blood off his current one.

That's nice, but I hope they gave the truck's original owner a new vehicle as well.

According to the article he put the victims in the bed of the truck. The owner can easily clean that.

Kudos to the Marine for his initiative and to the dealership for recognizing his efforts.

There were some pictures floating around. It was a crew-cab vehicle, and apparently some victims also rode in the back seat. The pics showed the rear seat was a bloody mess.

Trying to search for the pics but not having luck. In this article, the owner is seen claiming the rear seat is ruined (but he doesn't care).

Would be nice if at least a detailing service offered to clean the truck for the owner.

True that. The truck's owner was extremely positive about the whole thing. His truck, left in a random place covered in blood without his keys. He even offered to take the other guy to dinner. It would be cool if he was rewarded too.
