Air travel is arguably the worst. There are long lines, airport food is somehow perpetually horrific, everyone is grumpy, someone is always late, and who the hell decided to bring a cranky baby on a flight departing at five in the morning. There’s so much else to worry about that you’re probably not wondering, “hey, what about bed bugs?” Well, my friends. I have bad news.
I think that this says it all

It's probably not very common and I'm sure it's happened before. It's not like a lot of people flying now are going to get it, I doubt even a significant percentage. I'm actually surprised I never got it before because I love traveling and stay at lots of vacation homes (and hotels). I love doing that and won't give it up even with the risk of that. Flying though, I hate. Just one more reason to avoid it.

Then you stay in some roadside motel that has bedbugs, and suddenly your car is infested as well.

Bedbugs aren't something you avoid by not flying.

I know that. Read the post you quoted because I edited it to include the other guys statement. I'm really surprised I never got it before because of all the times I stay at vacation homes.

Here, I included it here just for you! (because I knew my first post sounded kind of crazy, so I had to explain my comment)

It's not just one foreign airline.

It's been a dirty little secret the past few years that more and more bed bugs are being found on foreign and domestic flights in the US.

Bed bugs are everywhere. Planes, movie theaters, hotels, DOCTOR'S OFFICES and HOSPITALS!!!!

No one is pretending anything!!
