(I hope this is the correct forum for this.)

This is crazy. She has everything going for her and she's screwing around with heroin.

The pop star, 25, was transported from her home in the Hollywood Hills to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Tuesday after paramedics found her unconscious, TMZ reported. The site also said she was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment for narcotics overdoses.

She OD because she's reached a limit. Plenty of stars taking it just haven't OD yet. Drugs can be a talent booster at a price. Many artists perform their best when they are high.

She has been using hard drugs for 8-10 years and no stranger to the rehab/ relapse cycle.

In March she said she had been sober for 6 years.

There's no mention about heroin in the CNN article:

"Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," said the statement from Lovato's representative. Her latest single "Sober" is about her relapsing, so I doubt she's been sober for the past 6 years up until today/last night. She talks openly about how it has been an ongoing struggle, saying she isn't the poster child for recovery, probably relapsed sometime over the past few months. Or maybe relapsed prior to that, but was trying to seem like she had her life together for her fans. I can't imagine having to keep up appearances is easy for someone who is struggling.

Because her family has said she didn't OD on heroin.

I grew up with Demi, so I am a fan of her music. She had been sober for 6 years (in March) then she relapsed. From my understanding the relapse was with alcohol, but I am guessing it spiraled from there. She has probably been struggling greatly since that relapse, so a few months at least.

The drug used doesn't really matter. She's been very open with her struggles so she will probably eventually say herself. I'm glad she has the means to get help, but this shows how hard it can be. Money can't cure everything.

I sympathize with all addicts fighting the fight to get sober and stay that way.

She's been a staple on the Blind Gossip blogs for years for her heroin addiction.

Her people will try and spin this but she's an addict.

How can that be? Every source is saying she was sober for 6 years prior to March.

I've seen her talk about her past with cocaine as well as her struggles with being bi-polar.

On the Today Show, they said her friends were with her and they had Narcan. So, she was doing some type of opioid. The Narcan saved her life.

Think about this, how would people around her know to have Narcan?

Those 'sources' are her people. Of course they are going to say she's sober.
