Police confirmed one man was dressed as the Peter Pan fairy, while witnesses claimed his fellow passenger was wearing a Bob the Builder costume.

One passenger on the plane to Poland, Dan May, tweeted to say the flight was being held at Stansted because of “a man dressed as Tinkerbell”.

He added that armed police had arrived and “one officer has adjusted the man’s wings”.

"Meanwhile, the man dressed as Bob the Builder has been exceptionally well behaved," he added.

A picture from the scene appeared to show police on the ground with a bald man wearing a green Tinkerbell dress and wings.

What a whacko. It is one thing to dress up as tinker bell which I think most wouldn't have a problem with but then when he gets disruptive that is a different story.

Reminds me very much of a story from a friend that used to be a bouncer at a gay bar. He’s a gay guy himself.
