For the record, in that area those under 18 years of age can legally get a tattoo if the parent gives consent and is present, AND the tattoo establishment itself is legal and according to health standards.
Anyways, whatever happened to parents and authority? Too much coddling and enabling going on these days.
A mother is facing charges after she allegedly allowed a teen to give her 10-year-old son a tattoo inside a home in Bellefontaine, located in Logan County.
Nikki J. Dickinson, 34, was charged with misdemeanor child endangering and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to ABC affiliate WSYX in Columbus.

I agree. Your article points out that "the mom said she got 'tired' of her son asking, so she allowed him to get a tattoo." Her son who wanted the tattoo is only 10 years old. If this Bellefontaine mother is so easily worn down that she agreed to let her young son get tattoed "in unsafe, unsanitary conditions" by a teen, she deserves to be charged with child endangerment.
10 year-olds want a lot of things that aren't good for them, and they need parents who can and will say no and "wait until you are older...."

Exactly.
This is a permanent change to a child's body here. Few 10 year olds can conceive of the implications of that. But a 34 year old ought to be able to do so.

True, but by the time this 10 yr old gets a little older, tattoo removal will likely be easily available or even DIY, at home.
Removal is going to be a BOOMING industry once someone creates an effective way to do it, they are pretty close even now.
