A man happened to get jailed at the same location where his sister's child abuser was being held. He beat him to death after the child abuser (seemingly gleefully) told him various details of the abuse. He gets 25 years for the murder.
For sure I'm not saying that I condone violence or vigilante justice (there's definitely some shaky ethics to be debated here), but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't satisfying.
Some crimes are unforgivable and some people unrecoverable and not deserving of sympathy . We have predators in society, badly wired people are always a % of any population and they come from every segment of society. Child molesters are the absolute bottom of the cesspool.
Depending on the brothers other criminal background I'd say a lesser sentence is warranted for this.
That child will carry what happened to her for the rest of her life, even if she gets therapy which many sadly do not receive depending on their socioeconomic backgrounds. I'm sure she was not the only one. These people often molest far more than one before they finally get caught.
I have no sympathy for the man who was killed if its true he bragged about his crime, that confirms his guilt.
I can definitely see why the brother killed the abuser. My SIL's husband abused their kids, and my husband and his brother went looking for the jerk. I'm glad they didn't find him, I'd hate to deal with the fallout.
I think the jail or prison should have separated them, and should face repercussions for their guilt in the death of someone in their charge.

25 years is about right. Unless you want everyone taking the law into their own hands, which would be catastrophic, the law is the law. Remember Lynch mobs hanging the wrong people? Ah, the good old days.
You can just murder someone, even in a case like this.
