I live in Florida now after a lifetime in the Midwest and I say or think that every day. This place is quite the dumping ground for the bizarre and outrageous.
I'm guessing that man has paranoid schizophrenia and has gone un-diagnosed. At least now he will be and hopefully will get on proper medication and stay on it.
Sounds like he missed a few spankings when he was growing up. You should learn at a young age not to throw things at your parents. hmmmm.......I bet he got extra time outs as well.
Of course. He was probably showing signs of it for a long time, but how would his parents get him tested if he refused....."there's nothing wrong with me, yada, yada, yada."
Go to the mental health center or be homeless, yada yada. I've seen grown men abuse their parents in their own home and the parents just keep catering to them. It isn't even that unusual anymore to hear about some guy beating or even killing a parent or relative who provided for him.
To give the devil his due, according to the story he had begun acting paranoid lately and because of the "acidic" taste of the pork he claimed that they were trying to poison him.
Maybe its something in the water down there....or in the pigs.

Sad but true. I used to believe “Nurture” (parenting) was at fault for this but it’s becoming so prevalent that I’m starting to question “Nature” (biological).
