Jeopardy James has made a donation to a cancer walk in honor of Alex Trebek. I really miss this guy. I still think there is something fishy, in his loss.

There is nothing "fishy" about it. His style was of a high gambler and he was going to lose with that style. I am surprised he lasted as long as he did. He finished second all time in money which is amazing. He isn't really even close to Ken Jennings with 74 consecutive wins. James Holzhouer only has 32 consecutive wins. Consecutive wins is the most impressive to me, not how much you would gamble and go after double jeopardy boxes. I very much enjoyed watching him play however, but enjoyed Ken more.

I heard this story the other day. He should have left an anonymous gift, however. But then of course no one would how good of a guy he is.

Nothing fishy about it. At some point the thrill/challenge/risk of the game got stale. Time to find the next one. I suspect that happens more often than viewers realize. Maybe there was a really high stakes card game coming up and he had bankrolled enough to take bigger risks there.

Agree. People who must own a big name rarely choose not to use it. He didn't appeal to me. Kind of an trivia automaton with an arrogant smirk IMHO.

C'mon.

Although I fully expected him to beat the regular-game winnings, and he came close, I always knew he wasnt going to even approach the 74-game streak of Ken Jennings because of the aggressive betting style which allowed him to amass so much money in so little time.

There's nothing "fishy" about it.

If it was "fishy" he was the one fishing.

Let's suffice it to say James has more record breakers in jeopardy then Ken . I'll gladly welcome James into our town . I marvel at his consistency.

I can't donate to research or causes that reap funds with no results. And so far 30 years later and still no closer to aiding the afflicted.

Same here. I also have no problem with him advertising his gift. It might very well get others to do so also.
