The fox, which they initially thought was a "wild dog," ran at his wife in their driveway, and knocked her over. As the husband approached, the fox attacked him, too, so the man strangled him with his hands.
The couple sustained minor injuries, and authorities picked up the body of the fox to test it for rabies.
If I were their doctor, I'd recommend starting rabies shots right now pending rabies testing on the fox.
