That doesn't mean much. First off there are many more white people than black people, so only the percentages of each shot by police would count for anything. Second, that doesn't say if they were unarmed, running away, etc. It doesn't say anything, really.

Do you apply that same mathematic logic to crime? If so why do you think blacks are so over represented in crime, specifically murder? Because a majority of police departments even ones in places with black leadership are racist? Or maybe because poor people commit a disproportionate amount of crime and a disproportionate amount of blacks are poor? Also if an area is high crime is not reasonable to expect police to spend more time in that area. More time being present leading to more interactions with the people in that area.
Also you have to take into account at least a portion of the left side of the aisle think that only whites can be racist due to it requiring institutional power. So obviously whites will be over represented in matters of “racism”.
That sounds dangerously close to victim blaming. If a woman is raped do you wonder if it was in part because of what she was wearing? Maybe he was buying drugs, maybe he was taking the most direct route home from volunteering at a homeless shelter. What does it matter?
It's not victim blaming, it's a fair question when we have no facts to work with. For all we know, Tyler met for a drug buy, grabbed the drugs and took off, Davis went after him and crashed into him to stop him, and was so enraged he then proceeded to beat him to death.
Or, maybe Tyler just happened to be out at 2:00am to get some food, and there was a minor accident between himself and this Davis guy who he'd never met. Tyler gets out to exchange insurance and then was beaten to death.
The true story might be completely different from these scenarios. We simply don't have any facts to work with, and until Davis is found to tell his story we probably will be left continuing to wonder.

IMO, the only detail that could make any significant difference to this is if it came out that somehow Mr. Davis was acting in self-defense. Otherwise it doesn’t really matter what his reasoning was for beating a man to death.
Go to the politics board - - it is 100% demonizing immigrants, "The Squad", etc. So people of color are tarred as being the bad guys CONSTANTLY. It's the raging fear that is constantly going through a sizable subset of Republicans.
Donald Trump brought to the surface the bigotry in a lot of Americans. They were afraid to speak until he came on the scene, and now , they feel free to say the things they have always been holding inside.

Yes that occurred to me while I was writing it. It was written however in response to someone who posted basically posture lysing it this was a some naive andvidealistic white kid who thought a city was safe enough to move to and learned the hard way that it’s not. But in the context of that, you have to consider again what was he doing in the bad part of town at 2 AM? I can tell you down here, if you’re white in a bad part of town in the middle of the night the police are going to assume you’re buying drugs, cause that’s the most frequent scenario.
I have no reason to think this is true or not, I just think it’s ridiculous to paint him as some sort of a saint who accidentally stumbled into Hell when we don’t know.

I'd provide a counter point to your post but I'm honestly afraid of being penalized even if I didn't violate the terms of service.
