Grant Brown didn’t hesitate when he heard screams coming from down the street as he headed out of his family’s Conroe, Texas, home on Sunday. And his quick action saved a 6-year-old boy’s life.
Brown, 19, is being hailed a hero after rescuing Mason Lindeman from a dog attack outside the boy’s home, reports NBC affiliate KPRC. Video footage shows the moments the dog jumped onto Mason, prompting Brown to run to the scene to distract the animal.
Not sure running was the best idea but he allowed that little kid to get away! I've played hard with 90 lb dogs and it is ridiculous how strong they are, now add the adrenaline of it not being "play" and it gets really crazy.
I know, I know, I know -- the following will generate all kinds of rebuttals from pitbull fans -- but, once again, an attack was from a pitbull. Why do some people insist on taking a chance on these dogs when this breed is the most vicious of all common breeds?
And, yes, I know that there are exceptions and not all pitbulls are dangerous, but why do people take that kind of chance, especially around young children? I will never understand that kind of thinking.

At any rate, well done.
I think this is a better video, and story. You can see that when Mr. Brown ran up on the scene, the pit bull immediately got off the child and began chasing the man, who turned and ran for his life. Unusual, for a pit bull attack, to very quickly leave off attacking the child to chase a man.
Usually pit bulls won't relent until their skulls are broken once they center on a victim, and almost never attack healthy strong young men.

You can see him running toward the dog. When the man is about 15 feet away from where the dog is attacking the child, the dog suddenly releases the child, and then chases the man who then turns and runs out of the camera range, with the dog in pursuit.
Then there's very very blurry video of the man still wrestling with the dog in a different yard.
Please tell me someone put a bullet in that dogs head.
